Dispositifs pour l’intimité dans les rituels domestiques

Un projet de Marcante-Testa pour Campo Base 2023 – MilanDesignWeek23

Dans un passé récent, la maison pouvait aider à stabiliser la vie des individus grâce à des objets, des meubles et des espaces où retrouver leur identité, grâce à une claire séparation entre la sphère publique et la sphère domestique.

Aujourd’hui, dans des temps changeants et dans la condition numérique qui enveloppe tout, il est plus difficile d’imaginer un lieu “autre” par rapport au monde extérieur à l’intérieur des simples murs domestiques: il devient donc nécessaire d’avoir des espaces d’intimité spirituelle plus importants, des espaces qui préservent la ritualité à l’intérieur de l’espace domestique.

Antoine de Saint-Exupéry décrit dans le roman “Cittadella” les rituels comme des techniques temporelles d’enracinement, des rituels qui sont dans la vie ce que les choses sont dans l’espace. Le projet de Marcante-Testa pour “Campo Base 2023” fait référence aux espaces hétérotopiques qui, comme le théorise Michel Foucault, sont ces “lieux qui ont la particularité d’être liés à tous les autres espaces, mais de manière à suspendre, neutraliser ou inverser l’ensemble des relations qu’ils désignent, reflètent ou reproduisent”.

Les meubles deviennent, pour les concepteurs, des espaces de protection pour nos rituels domestiques, créant une nouvelle dimension spatio-temporelle où nous pouvons donner de la stabilité à notre vie.

Dans la maison, ce qui définit un espace est également la limite pour un autre espace plus protégé, dédié à l’intimité, à la relation avec notre être intérieur où nous pouvons nous sentir, nous écouter, dialoguer, prier, mais aussi imaginer et rêver.

Pour les enfants, il suffit de fermer les yeux ou de se couvrir les yeux pour devenir invisible, et cela correspond à notre instinct naturel de protection qui reste en nous.

Lorsque nous grandissons, ce geste simple est projeté dans notre espace domestique.

Marcante-Testa imagine les murs de la maison englobant des meubles qui deviennent des dispositifs hétérotopiques, des coquilles de recueillement où l’on peut s’agenouiller, s’asseoir et s’allonger en imaginant l’espace domestique comme la limite extrême du besoin de trouver du réconfort dans un lieu créé par l’homme.

Dans cette nouvelle articulation de l’espace domestique, même les murs et les plafonds perdent leur simple fonction architecturale de délimitation pour devenir des dispositifs sensoriels : le plafond satisfait à nouveau le besoin de l’homme de regarder vers le “haut”, et les murs textiles agissent comme des “amortisseurs” du bruit de fond de la vie quotidienne.

Dans ce parcours vers l’intimité domestique, chaque rituel doit avoir son “lieu” d’expression, même les plus profonds et les moins manifestes, où même l’introspection et la “confession” trouvent leur place dans un mobilier spécifique.

La maison est un nouveau confessionnal domestique, c’est un lieu d'”absolution” et de pardon envers soi-même et envers les autres, c’est un lieu de connaissance intime et de réflexion sur notre relation avec les autres êtres vivants et où nous tentons de donner de la stabilité à la vie.

Rossi Illuminazione– Lampes en métal sur mesure pour mur et plafond

Based in Vicenza, since 1966 Rossi Illuminazione has been working in the lighting industry, dealing tailored classic-style lamps and chandeliers and providing the costruction of tailored lamps, starting from customers’ designs.

Rezina– Papier peint et éléments décoratifs au plafond pour  “Marcante-Testa Something”

Rezina® began its history in 1980 within the family business in the field of special paints for furniture, industry, bodywork and flooring in public and private environments.
In 1995 the first experiments on materials applicable in the field of decorative civil surfaces were undertaken and in 2004 the reference brand Rezina® was born. It is the beginning of the large-scale distribution of resins which today allows us to be able to count on a specialized team of installers and resellers.
